Iowa Staffing is working with our client to fill 1st and 2nd shift manufacturing production positions available near the Avoca, Iowa area. Duties include the ability to interpret and do quality work from engineering blueprints and work order process sheets with written or verbal instructions to meet stock and sales orders for shipment. Required responsibility to make a final inspection of the first completed part of the product made, to ensure total quality before continuance of the work order process sheet. Essential responsibilities include working with machines, presses, production equipment, as well as various power and hand tools to produce quality products. This position requires keen attention to detail as well as the ability to meet production requirements. Must have the ability to read a tape measure, and have general knowledge and know-how to identify standard and metric hardware sizes, dial calipers, micrometers, square, and protractors.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - 7 am to 7 pm  

• Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend oral and written information including instructions, correspondence, and memos, as well as striving to understand product categories, and system components, and develop awareness of key projects.
• Written and oral communication skills to effectively present information to other employees of the organization as well as having the ability to respond well to questions and participate in meetings.
• Must meet attendance, punctuality, and productivity standards.
• Required to be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, as well as lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Observe safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions or practices, and use equipment and materials properly.

• High school diploma (or GED).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Pre-employment E-Verify, drug screen, and background check.
