Janitorial $13-$15

Part-time: 11 am - 3 pm, Mon-Fri

Full Time: 8 am - 4:30 pm, Thurs-Mon

                        3:30 pm-midnight, Mon-Fri

The main activities are listed but not limited to:

a. Cleaning and Sanitizing:

- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly.

- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.

- Take out exterior trash cans if requested by the customer. Clean outdoor areas as requested by the customer.

- Clean and sanitize breakrooms, considering sinks and microwaves.

- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.

- Remove dust and cobwebs in high and low areas such as vents, window frames, baseboards, and on open surfaces, including window frames, partitions, and conference rooms.

- Wipe down and disinfect surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and countertops.

- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.

- Monitor and replenish toiletry supplies as necessary.

b. Safety Compliance:

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure environment for employees and visitors.

- Properly use and maintain janitorial equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.

c. Communication:

- Communicate effectively with your building supervisor about any need for toiletries, cleaning supplies, or any other issue or doubt.

- Report any maintenance issues, such as broken lights or leaky faucets, to your supervisor or manager.

- School Diploma or equivalent – the cleaner must read and write.

- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.

- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols.

- Ability to carry/lift to 50 lbs.

- Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, squat, sit, and maneuver in confined spaces.

- Ability to work in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.

- Ability to maintain workloads that may include daily travel to a variety of locations.
